  • We've made several changes that we expect will make this our best conference yet.  Some of the changes include, limiting the number of simultaneous presentations to two so that our audience is less spread out, changed the fee structure to make it easier on you (and us) to to complete your registration and our officers have "adopted" schools to ensure we give that personal touch to our conference invitation...Additionally, Region One & Choice Facility Partners are helping get the word out.  Credit card payment option for registration, trade show spaces & sponsorships is available.
  • Topics for the conference include, IAQ Essentials, Playground Maint/Safety, HB 3693 Update,  Custodial Standards/Green, Energy Cost Cutting Strategies, Preventive Maint Best Practices.  Presenters include TF Harper, Les Hooper, Gulf Coast Paper and others.  Choice Facility Partners and TASB have been instrumental in lining up the presenters.
  • Vendors, Trade Show spaces (3x8' table) are $350 and will be limited to 23 spaces.  Eff 2/18 with change in presentation format addtl spaces are available at same rate! Trade Show fee includes registration/lunch for two.  If you would like to be considered for a space in the trade show email me today! Logistics...

  • Hosting Hotel, Best Western Palm Aire is offering a discounted rate of $62 for participants wishing to overnight.  Rate includes continental breakfast.  Just say it's for STASMO.

  • Registration fee and Tradeshow space fee includes lunch meal as well as coffee & light refreshments throughout day.  Tradeshow fee covers lunch for x2 participants.

  • Early registration is EXTENDED through Feb 11th FEB 18th.  School officials & vendor participants pay only $49.  After Feb 18th the fee is $59.  Click here for registration form.

  • Trade Show spaces (3x8' table) are $350 and will be limited to 23 30 spaces.  If you would like to be considered for a space in the trade show sign up today!  Selections will be made by Jan 29th and posted by Jan 31st.  Trade Show tables will set up in the Bluebonnet, Topaz & Pecan rooms.

Presenters...

Opening Speaker Bob Driggers is "retired" electrical engineer who has always been a leader in his field.  During the course of his career he has worked with CP&L, Brownsville PUB, Magic Valley Co-op and other utility companies.  Mr. Driggers is currently the President/CEO of Energy Smart Corporation.  He has also served in leadership positions in various organizations such as Rotary International, Toastmasters International, Valley Proud Environmental Council, American Mensa Society and many others...
Lunch time Speaker Hilario Diaz is currently is a member of the Planning & Research Department at Cameron Works.  He has raised over $100,000 to implement three Energy Efficiency & Green Building conferences in Brownsville.  Mr. Diaz is the Chairman of the newly formed Rio Grande Valley Sustainability Council.  He is committed to making our communities more energy efficient and is an advocate for Green building sustainability and alternative energy sources...
